Finally after a 3-mth hiatus, I'm back!!!!

Just want to tell u guys that I'm now a student of Universiti Malaysia Sabah(UMS).

And I'm taking HE10-Marketing

After 3 years...then I'll have a Degree in Business...
Just wait...

It's UMS, so Kota Kinabalu will be my second home.

So here's the Canselor Hall.

Considering there are almost 5000 of us, so it's quite full during the orientation week.

The oath taking ceremony...after the oath...I am officially a student of Universiti Malaysia Sabah.

Check out the Outdoor Development Centre, where UMS's very own beach is situated.

But I'm both sad and shocked to stumble upon something not far from the beach.

And for sure I got the chance to check out my school(faculty).

School of Business and Economics...has the most wonderful, beautiful, spectacular view...

One thing that excites me for sure is that...I can explore Sabah...especially the beautiful islands...

So I went to Sapi Island(Pulau Sapi) with a bunch of new friends...make a trip of our own...

Sarawak Home Furniture Expo 2011

It was not as crowded as I expected.
Well...it's just the first day.

The Sarawak Home Furniture Expo 2011 starts today(7th July) and I was eager too find out what it is all about.
So since I'm off work today, It'll be a great chance for me to visit the expo.

Every visitors are required to get visitors' pass stickers.

I had mine and the number was 000304...
I heard there will be daily lucky draws...did I win?!?! Hmmm

Please ~~CURSE~~ praise me for my ~~BAD~~ excellent camera skills.

The sofa cost a staggering over RM6000!!!
KO MAMPU?!?!

Some modern design corner set sofa.

There are 124 booths in total by local manufacturers, traders, and international branded products.
Not only that visitors get to win some prizes, there are lots of special promotions, talks, visitors can also purchase products on the spot.

This expo showcase the best in Sarawak furniture industry and also quality products from related and supporting industries from all over the country.

Holly Crap!!!! *allow me to curse first*
I really feel bad for this blog as I abandoned it for months.

It feels like I'm changing my life after I started working.
But I'm used to it now as it's part of my life long experience.

It's not like I get to go out whenever I want.
Working until night is really not what I want at first, but it's the best job that I can find at the moment.

I only get to spend my own time during my off days.
I spent them with sleep...lotsa sleep n internet...
It's the fastest and most efficient way to become a few pounds heavier.
Biking here and there.
And what's interesting about it is that sometimes, I get to stumble upon something interesting to see.

For instance,
I saw a shophouse blazed by fire today.
Need I say more??
See it for yourself...

It was said that the fire started on the 3rd floor.

Thick black smoke ascending towards the sky.

Road users stopped and watch.

All eyes on the scene.

There was one woman on the second floor during the fire.
Luckily she was rescued before the fire "gone wild"...
So, that was pretty much what's interesting today.

I was extremely bored!!!

after waiting for months, finally...
STPM results will be announced in less than 12 hours(21st. February 2011).
I'm nervous+excited+worried+anxious...WTF!!!
I really hope I did well.
Not expecting too high.
High expectation kills me.
So...fingers cross...

I'm a young man

Excitement just conquered my feeling.Thinking..."Ohhh!!! I can't believe this!!!"

At that time, old childhood memories suddenly crossed my mind.
All those bittersweet memories when I was just a small kid.

Do you know how lucky and tough it is being the only child?

I entered into this world in my village which located in the interior area.
I wasn't born in a small room.
My mum said that my grandma and my uncle was the midwives...my uncle just prepared warm water only la...
At that time my dad wasn't at home and I was struggling to come out...LOL
Basically the nearest clinic was very far away, like a few hours walk from home*village okay!!!*
Back in the days, flying doctors will fly to our village about twice/thrice a month.
Due to that, my mum can't stand the pain waiting for the doctors.
So, I was born in my village house on the 2nd of January 1991.

For a few years, I lived with my grandpa and grandma.
They've been taking care of me since I was still a baby until I was 4.
That's why I love them so much.
But I'm not saying that I don't love my mum and dad; I love 'em all.

I still remember my kindegarten years.
That was when I was so naive.
I was like where the hell does these kids come from!!!

After entering primary school, I started to make more friends and learned new things.
Memories during primary school is unforgettable.
I miss my primary school friends and thank God Facebook helped me to reconnect with some of them.

Entering secondary school was a whole new experience for me.
I knew that I was at the stage where I started to figure out my identity.
Challenges after challenges keeps on coming.
But I knew I can overcome those challenges.
Well, my PMR results shows it and I'm very happy with it.

Upper secondary wasn't easy for me though.
As usual, new obstacles and new experiences.
But I admit, it does make me more mature as a student.
However, I can't avoid peer influence.
In fact, I did did something stupid and that stupid thing definitely thought me a valuable lesson.

My SPM result was quite a disappointment.
Well, for me it does but for others, they thought I was doing well.

Then I chose Form 6 or Pre-University.
A lot of my friends who had gone through form 6 always complained about how though it is and how much effort they put on their Form 6 studies.
Seriously and honestly, I'm confused and I don't know why I chose to be in Form 6.
I always thought maybe it's a lot more cheaper than going to private college.

I must admit that some of the complains from my friends were actually right.
Things that we Form Sixers had to study was too many.
For me, honestly it was insane!
That insanity made me gone nuts the moment I was elected as the head prefect(head boy) or what my head girl always said, "Ketua Pengganas Lelaki"
Burdens...burdens...burdens...
That was what in my mind at that time.
But I just went for it and it turned out okay for me.
Because I can't just ignore the trust that my school had given to me.
Plus, I really need the experience anyway.

Working with my team had taught me a lot...really... A LOT!!!
They are wonderful and amazing!!!
I'll miss them all.

The toughest job came when we sat for STPM.
After grueling one and a half year of struggle, the biggest task and challenge(STPM) is what I'd say the FINALE.

And today(3rd of January 2011), I'm very happy because I've just gone through my 1st day(2nd of January 2011) as a 20-year-old young man.
Get it?! YOUNG MAN!! Hahaha

And for me, I'll always remember all the bittersweet memories in school.

At 4:00P.M. on 15th December 2010, I finished my last STPM paper.
Happiest moment.
But, it's a new door for me.
A new door to a different world.
It might be sweeter than all that I've experienced in school, and it might be bitter.
There's just one thing I must remember:
"NEVER MAKE THOUGHTS YOUR AIM"
I must look forward and focus on the present.
Past is past.
It's history.

All I Want For Christmas

It's Christmas, in less than two weeks.
I know everybody have wished for something that they really want or want to do.
...c'mon...everybody have at least one thing to die for right??
We can't lie about it...it's ~~a sin~~ not good for you...haha

Me, no exception.
Honestly, there are too many things I want.
So, to avoid my blog page loads too slow, I'm going to list down just a few...although I have too many.

1. A DSLR camera.

Although photography is an expensive hobby, but if you really serious and have the passion to explore it, you can earn some bucks.
Nikon D3100 is kindda perfect for a newbie...like me.
I know I'm a dumbass when it comes to DSLR, but this doesn't mean I can't learn.
With enough passion and lots of practise, it's not impossible for a noob to become pro.

2. HP ENVY 14

It's like one of the coolest thing to have.
And certainly, I wish I own it.

3. iPad

This stuff is hot and people just crazy about it, so me too want to crazy about it.
Mr. Santa, please...hehe...or maybe I'll wait for iPad 2...

4. Cage for my cats

They need a cage ~~to dating~~.
I don't want them to meow here and there when my friends and relatives come to my house for visits. They can just eat and sleep all day long inside the cage.
P/S: I'm not trying to be cruel.

5. Better internet connection.

I don't want slow broadband connection anymore. The broadband got to do something. I don't want to wait until the tortoise cross even the 10 meters mark every single time I surf the internet.

Best connection means faster, smoother, and worth the bills.

6. Winning 4D Jackpot.

Huhu...I'll be over the moon!!!

That is like the most impossible thing to happen. The examiners wouldn't be so careless and stupid lar...What the Puck!!!

8. Hot Bod

I know he's a Korean star...but NOT THE GUY OK!! IT'S THE BODY...
eerr...maybe we just skip this coz Mr. Santa himself doesn't have that kind of body.
So maybe I'll just work it out on my own. And lots of hardwork has to be done.

9. New handphone

Dying to have a new one. After a few months, my SE W610i will be 6 feet under the ground.
Waiting for $$$. Gosh!! I have to buy it with my own money. Papa ain't gonna sponsor doe!!!

10. World peace

I know it sounds a bit Miss World...but hey! don't you want a peaceful world to live in???
If you don't, then go to Pandora and live with those Na'vi.

So, I guess I'll have to send this list to Santa and hope that he'll consider about it.

The attack is spreading at a rapid pace — within a minute, more than 10,000 tweets related to the attack have popped up on the microblogging service. These tweets link to domains containing “acainews.” We recommend that you don’t click these links.

It’s unclear at the moment how this particular attack operates, but it seems possible that just clicking the “acainews” link is enough to compromise your account (Update: see below). It’s also possible that affected accounts may have previously been compromised by a third-party service. Regardless, this is one of the fastest-spreading attacks we’ve ever seen in our years tracking Twitter security and worms.

If your account has already been compromised, immediately change your Twitter password and check to see if your account is linked to any unknown third party accounts. We have contacted Twitter for more information.

“I poked into the acai tweets a little bit. Definitely a lot more of my friends getting hit than normal, but looking at where the acainews(1-8) sites redirect to. I see no malicious code. I’ve even visited them while logged in to Twitter (on a dummy account) and had no adverse effect. I noticed similar spam going around a couple days ago with the Twitter Search link I sent you. All tweets coming from ‘web,’ destination page with no obviously malicious code.”

We still strongly advise not clicking any links with “acainews” in the URL.

Update 2: According to Twitter’s Del Harvey, the attack is likely related to a recent attack against Gawker that compromised 1.3 million commenter accounts. We’ve also found similarities between the compromised Gawker database and the compromised Twitter accounts. The recommended course of action is to change your Twitter password.

What the heck!!!
I've abandoned this blog for like 3 months...!!
hell lots of things had happened...and yeah...of course...sitting for STPM...
After all the bitter sweets I've been through this one and a half year...I have to end my pre-U studies with one of the thoughest exams in the world *hmmm...maybe...I heard someone said so...hahaha*

btw...I opened my emails this morning and there was an email from this person named Omar Hasan in my spam box...
seriously...I don't even know who he is...

Another dating campaign in Singapore

SINGAPORE (AFP) - Singapore is launching yet another campaign to promote dating among its notoriously love-shy singles as the city-state grapples with low birth and marriage rates, reports said Thursday.

The Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) issued a tender this month through the government's official procurement website calling for proposals on how to encourage singles to date.

"This tender is called to engage a communications agency to conceptualise, plan and implement a public communications campaign to promote dating," said a notice monitored on the government's online procurement website GeBIZ.

No details of the tender were given on the website, but the Straits Times said the winning bidder will produce a television commercial to promote dating and draw up a "unique dating concept" to get singles to interact.

Targeted at people aged 20 to 35 who do not date, the initiative is the latest effort by the government to act as matchmaker for its loveless singles population.

It comes amid falling marriage and fertility rates in the tiny but affluent island-state with a population of about five million, more than one million of whom are foreigners.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in February urged citizens to ignore superstitions about the Chinese zodiac and make more babies during the Year of the Tiger in order to reverse falling birth rates.

He said Singapore's fertility rate had dipped to its lowest level ever at 1.23 babies per woman in 2009, down from 1.28 in 2008. This is well below the 2.1 replacement rate needed for a stable population.

The marriage rate hit 6.6 marriages per 1,000 residents in 2009, down from 7.8 in 1999, the Straits Times said, citing government statistics.

Initial reaction to the government's latest campaign at playing Cupid was cool.

"I think it's a bit silly," Koh Hoon Kiat, 25, a university graduate who is single, told AFP.

Asked if the television commercial will prompt him to find a dating partner, he said: "I can say that it's unlikely to do so... I'm not at a very desperate stage yet."

Previous government attempts to heat up romance and encourage couples to make more babies have so far failed to reverse the falling birth rates.

After I can finally raise up one of my shoulders*if you know what I mean-less burdens*,
now, it's time to concentrate more on exam or more specific, STPM 1st trial exam.
I have to say that it's like hell...
The real deal is coming.
It's about 100 days and a week left.
Now that I'm pushing myself to struggle even more,
I just have to be strong.
I realise that perseverance is the ~~padlock~~ key...

This time I have to test how good I am.
But I know, no matter how good I'm doing,
I still can't get results that WOW me...
but at least I know WHY the teachers ~~lokek~~ do like that...

It really does something to one's emotion through the theme which is breast cancer.

Melissa and Ade has really take sometime to understand and feel the emotional cancer piece that Tyce Diorio choreographed for the Top 8 performance until it came out sooo beautiful and meaningful.

It actually brought the judges to tears.

Situation A: "halo!! aa...where r u?? i'm waiting for u here bah...faster lah...u think the flight will wait for you meh?? Haiya...just come faster lah..."

Situation B: X is watching tv n Y come over to X's house n said "eh, u watching tv ha??" Ans : "yala..."

Situation C: A Kuchingite is talking on the phone, his friend from Sibu is calling, asking about the way to Borneo Convention Centre Kuching(BCCK).

Well, i'm pretty sure that you guys have heard conversations that are quite similar to that in Situation A, with all the lah, bah, meh, haiya, lo, neh, and so on. The fact is,we use it everyday(don't deny it OK!!) in our conversations. We can hear it at the pasar malam and even in the offices. It's part of our slang and that is what make us(M'sians) very special n unique, it's like our identity.

Situation B. You probably have come across someone asking you such question, although in different situations. What's weird about it?? It might sounds normal but the truth is that, some people actually get annoyed when someone asked that question to them(when they were actually watching tv or somthing else). Yup, X is watching tv, and Y shouldn't ask that question to X because X is memang sedang menonton tv!!... Some of your friends also might ask you "wahseh, eating hah?", when you are actually eating in front of 'em (sudah terang lagi berspotlight!!!)...you might get annoyed but don't be surprised that sometimes you yourself might ask the same questions... :-D

Situation C is probably the common thing happens when we talk on the phone. Guess what will A do during the phone call? You know rite?!!..A will definitely ~~point his middle finger at the pedestrians~~ do some actions as if his friend is in front of him(even though he's talking through the phone). Some kind of dance steps might come out aslo when he points up, down, east and west. As is his friend can see him showing the way...ha?? 3G??!...maybe kot...hehe...

So, there was a mural contest organised in our school recently.

My school must be happy by the overwhelmed participations from the students.

Overall, it really transformed the school's surrounding environment from boring to quite beautiful and fresh.

Well, of course the theme was something like floras and faunas.

Blown away by their creativity.

With a twist of some modern arts there.

The colours(paint) makes it look fresh.

The murals really put on a fresh look on the hall.

It's cute, out of the box.

Shows high creativity(imagination).

Perhaps this is one of my favourites.

With some chinese twists to it.

This is an example of a simple but beautiful artwork(at least for me).

The combination of just 3 clolours makes it elegant.

The school must be proud of what the students have done.

Not only the murals give some fresh look to the school surrounding, but it shows that the students are creative enough to create such interesting artworks.

Students can potray their imaginations through these kind of masterpieces.

At least they have something to leave behind as their contributions to the school.

Here's my new lil kitten(my 'new bro'), and he is about 2 months young...

One thing that I realize is that everytime the mother gave birth, there's always a white kitten.

And there was once that the mother gave birth to a blue-eyed-kitten.

A group of medical students gather to see a lecturer perform inspection on a body.
They gather around where the body was placed.

Lecturer: "In the medical field, there are two very important qualities you must have to be a doctor. First, you can not feel digusting when dealing with corpses."

For example, the lecturer poke his finger into the corpse’s mouth, pull it back and then lick his finger.

Lecturer: "Now, you try."

After a few seconds looking at each others' faces with horror, then the medical students do the same thing in accordance to what they've seen.

One by one, they insert their fingers into the corpse's mouth and lick their fingers with repulsion.

After all the students are done, the lecturer look at them and

say: "the second most important quality is sharp observation. Like just now, I inserted my middle finger but I licked my index finger!!! Now, please pay attention, understand!!"

The students are speechless while, some are correcting their thick glasses and there are those who want to vomit.
